What is Healthy?
Over the years, I’ve made several changes in my life which have helped me be a healthier person. When I say healthy, I mean health in a broad sense of the word, physical, in my family, spiritual, mental, money wise, social and more. I have found that I also have opportunities to improve in all these areas every day!
Why a Podcast?
I’ve thought about doing a podcast for years. I used to be a radio host (d.j.) for a top 40 and a couple of country music stations. I knew I had the basic details in my repertoire but I was afraid to take the steps. Then, after years of listening to podcasters like Dave Ramsey, Dan Miller, Michael Hyatt and Cliff Ravenscraft, I decided to go for it. They convinced me that doing a podcast was one of the most effective ways to get a large audience and make the biggest difference in people’s lives.
Making a Difference
This is at the core of this blog, web site and podcast; trying to help as many people as possible take control of their lifestyles and be more active and enjoy better health. My hope is that most people who visit hikehealthy.com or listen to the Hike Healthy Podcast get motivated and inspired to take steps which will make a positive difference in their lives. I want others to experience some of the peace and joy I’ve found through making changes and adjustments in my lifestyle. There is some selfish motivation, I also hope to share victories along the way so I can continue to grow and improve and find even greater joy through interacting with you!
